NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 22 – To build successful business ventures, business owners and company heads must employ the skills of good human resource managers.
This is according to Industrialist and businessman Dr. Chris Kirubi who has attributed his success in business and enterprise to hiring qualified human resource.
“HR is at the heart of any organization. You can only become successful in business if you get the right people working for you. This is where human resource comes in as they are able to identify good talent and skills,” Kirubi said.
At the same time, Kirubi said it is impossible to be successful if you do not value your workers.
“You must realize that People are central in any business. Even as you value the product, the idea steering your business and the culture of the organization, ensure you value the workers,” Kirubi said.
Dr. Kirubi’s sentiments come at a time when the country is marking the annual Human Resource Month that seeks to celebrate the work of Human Resource experts in the economy.
Institute of Human Resource Management Dorcas Wainaina says the month gives HR professions an opportunity to give back to the society.
“We use this month to support young and up-coming workforce by helping them formulate or clean up their curriculum vitaes, give them career counseling, couching and offer mentorship to them,” Wainaina said.
