UGENYA, Kenya, Apr 4 – Two candidates vying for the Ugenya parliamentary seat will not vote in Friday’s by election as they are not registered voters in the constituency.

Brian Omondi of Third Way Alliance and Daniel Juma of GDDP are registered voters in Nairobi.

The Ugenya Returning Officer Vincent Saitabau however stated that this will not block the duo from being in the ballot papers.

Addressing the press at Sega Youth Polytechnic which is the constituency tallying centre, Saitabau stated that not being a registered voter in the constituency doesn’t interfere with the candidacy as the law allows Kenyans to vie in any constituency within the Republic.
