MIGORI, Kenya, May 2 – Migori County Secretary Christopher Odhiambo has been arraigned in Kisii over abuse of office before Senior Principal magistrate Nathan Shihundu.
The county secretary was arrested on April 30 by EACC detectives who detained him at Kisii Central Police Station over abuse of office.
Odhiambo is accused of using his office to benefit Eliud Obonyo by appointing him to act as the director supply chain management, a function of the Migori County Public Service board.
The county secretary pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Senior Resident Magistrate ordered for the accused to be detained in police custody.
He will know on May 6 whether he will be granted bond.
